THE VISUAL RHYTHM OF DANCE
Video artist Stefanie Sixt and dancer/choreographer Anina von Molnar create an interdisciplinary, audiovisual performance for the H2 Museum - Zentrum für Gegenwartskunst im Glaspalast.
The visuals blend sequences from the lifes of protozoa with abstract, digital and live mixed animation. Through Sixts´ coloring and composition (often reminiscent of Pop-Art style) and von Molnars´ both staccato, rhythmic and round, smooth movements, the microcosmos melts back and forth with the macrocosmos.

Photographs and close ups of the artistic work of Dorothea Reese-Heim are the substratum for the audiovisual dance performance and the film by the video artist Stefanie Sixt and the dancer Anina von Molnar.
Selected works of Reese-Heim are expanded by the dimensions of time and movement via an animated collage.

is a project in continual development since November 2012. The work is based on improvisation conceived in the dance studio with no viewers present.
The above is the complete video recording of the first public performance in 15.02.2014 at the Orangerie Festival, Augsburg - an on site improvisation.
